Community Activities
Our United Methodist Women have a prayer shawl ministry that has reached people worldwide. They have knitted and/or crocheted more that 1000 prayer shawls in the past 8 years that have been used in our local community, surrounding communities and throughout the United States and overseas.
As part of our Youth ministry, we have over the past few years and just recently sent "goodie boxes" to college students in our area. A list of names was compiled of students away from home and boxes were sent to all. The boxes were packed with snack foods, notes cards, microwave meals, stamps, devotionals, homemade goodies and much, much more! Our Youth also adopts a family at Christmas as well as helping out with district opportunities throughout the year, they are a blessing to our church as well as a hopeful look at the future of our community.
